We have disheartening news to pass along. Av has been in and out of the hospital this fall as he's undergone chemotherapy treatment and battled pneumonia several times. His health has taken a turn for the worse and he recently took residence at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Sheldon visited him yesterday and asked that we pass along the news.
We are all hoping for the best, and that he regains his strength will be able to join us again soon. To Av, we send our immense love.

This afternoon, I said farewell to our wonderful friend Av who is approaching the Great Beyond. His rabbi led a farewell service in which we took part. I put my hand on Av's shoulder and his smile comforted me. Shalom Av. Sheldon
