Manny took his last bike ride this morning at 6:30 am out of Salem. A memorial lunch gathering in Manny's honor will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 11:00 at 'The Holy Ghost Society', 20 Howley Street, Peabody. (Across from the Stop & Shop). There will not be a funeral service as Manny donated his body to science at Boston University.) Will let you know details as I learn them. -- Sheldon

We've lost an amazing person. My thoughts and prayers are with Manny and his family. Drew
Very sad news. Manny had incredible strength, faith and courage throughout his illness. When I saw him a few weeks ago in the hospital, he seemed so strong -- I half expected him to jump on his mountain bike and join us for a ride soon! He was amazing.
Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to Manny, Lena and Christine.
My Condolences to Manny's Family and Friends. RIP Manny, it was a pleasure to know you and to ride with you.

I've edited this post slightly to include updated information on memorial services for Manny. Rather than attending the Saturday mass (which will not be a funeral mass) the family encourages all to go directly the memorial lunch that starts at 11. -- Tam
Sorry I cannot make it today to Manny's lunch. I'm sure it will be a good way to remember him. He was such a great guy and a good rider. I will miss him. I'm caught between Aveen's 10th birthday and Sophie marching in the band at noon. Ride in peace, Manny.
